This year marks the 44th anniversary of AKSA Construction,YDA Group’s first construction and contracting companyfounded in 1954, and the 24th anniversary of YDA Construction, established in the name of Yaşar Dede Arslan, the Group’s honorary president and founder– demonstrating YDA Group’s sustained and steady growth rooted in an experience of over half a decade.

YDA is among the few group of companies in the world, which offers integrated service delivery in the fields of consultancy, project development, financing, building and operation services in the field of aviation. Having won the General Directorate of State Airports Authority’s (DHMI) Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) tender for the building and operation of the International Terminal of the Dalaman Airport in 2003, YDA has increased the International Terminal’s annual passenger capacity to 10,000,000 (ten million) and aircraft parking capacity to 35 since it started operating the Airport in 2006. With a passenger capacity of ten million, the International Terminal of the Dalaman Airport can now easily cater to the increasing number of passengers and flights to this touristic coastline of Turkey.
Dalaman International Airport has been awarded many domestic and international awards including the “AR Awards for Emerging Architecture”, and earned a place in aviation literature as the 13th most beautiful airport worldwide in 2007.
YDA has gained an important position in the aviation sector owing to major aviation projects in addition to the Dalaman International Airport such as the Aktau International Airport it operates in Kazakhstan; the Boryspil International Airport in Ukraine, and Hatay International Airport and Diyarbakır International Airport it has successfully constructed; as well as the Turkish Airlines HABOM project, which is one of the selected aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul centers of the world.
The first Regional Airport Financed by EBRD
YDA won the tender organized by the General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMI) of 7th March 2014 for the operating rights of the Domestic and International Terminals of the Dalaman International Airport for 26 years by placing the highest bid. YDA had been operating the International Terminal since 2006.
Having won the operating rights of the Domestic and International Terminal of the Dalaman Airport with its bid of EUR 705 million + VAT, YDA further concluded a EUR 162 million Investment Loan Agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and UniCredit Bank for the construction of a New Domestic Terminal at the Dalaman Airport to be carried out through international project finance. Drawing on its vast aviation experience in the construction of the new terminal building of the Dalaman International Airport, YDA aims to foster tourism and economy in the region and the country thanks to soaring passenger numbers following the commissioning of the new terminal with an investment value of EUR 232 million, EUR 70 million of which is financed by own resources and EUR 162 million by international project funding. With a passenger capacity of 10 million, the new terminal building is expected to cater to the growing number of domestic passengers and flights for many years to come. The growth in previous years had been 19% in 2014 and 22% in 2015.
